Collection of five TLSs, each one page, dated from 1933–1946, all written to Mrs. and Mrs. Nelson C. Brown, a professor at Syracuse University’s New York State College of Forestry. One is on White House letterhead, in part: “Very many thanks to you for the lovely flowers.” Two are on Val-Kill Cottage letterhead, in part: “I have…sent Mr. Brown a compass which my husband used, as a memento of his association with my husband” and “I am so glad you are going to help in Warm Springs.” Another mentions that she will “be serving as delegate to the General Assembly of the United Nations,” and the last offers “good wishes for Christmas and the New Year.” In overall fine condition. Accompanied by all five original mailing envelopes, most of which bear stamped free franks.
