White House card signed by Eleanor Roosevelt. Official White House card measures 4” x 2.5” and reads, “The White House / Washington,” in blue print. Signed “Eleanor Roosevelt” in faded black ink. The card was sent to Avalon Benson for her scrapbook and is accompanied by a letter of provenance to Benson -- a little girl diagnosed with rheumatic fever and a potentially fatal heart condition. A few minor ink smudges near the top of the card, otherwise excellent condition with virtually no age wear.
