Eleanor Roosevelt typed letter signed, dated 10 February 1949 upon her personal letterhead. Eleanor writes while working in New York City as U.S. delegate to the United Nations, in full, ''My dear Mrs. Pollack: I have received your letter of January 28th and I am sorry I cannot give permission, such as you request, for commercial purposes. With many regrets, Very sincerely yours, [signed] Eleanor Roosevelt''. Measures 6'' x 6.75''. Letter is in very good condition with a closed tear at bottom and light creasing. Lot also includes a 10'' x 8'' UPI press photograph of the President and First Lady.
