Fernandez is listed on page 22 of European Hand Firearms by Herbert J Jackson under "Gunsmiths of Madrid from 1684 to 1795". The stock itself is a fine tiger striped maple, chiefly visible on the underside of the wrist, with the majority of the surface covered by additional silver panels decorated in the same style, with geometric patterns, a silver tipped ramrod, and a silver buttcap with a semi-precious stone hanging from the lanyard ring.
