All are Typed Letters Signed during the 1950s and 60s to Lowell Eisenhower &#40;a relative whom Ike had never met--their fathers were first cousins&#41; and his wife Dorothy. <B>Nine of Ike&#39;s letters are signed as President on White House letterhead</B>,and were written between 1953 and 1960; six of these are signed &#34;<I>Dwight D. Eisenhower</I>,&#34; two are signed &#34;<I>D.E.</I>&#34; and one is signed &#34;<I>Uncle Ike</I>&#34;; three letters have glue residue around the edges &#40;easily covered&#41;; eight letters have the original &#34;White House&#34; transmittal envelopes. Two letters on &#34;DDE&#34; letterhead are signed &#34;<I>Uncle Ike</I>&#34; &#40;1964&#41; and &#34;<I>Uncle Dwight</I>&#34; &#40;1965&#41; and one letter on &#34;Office of Dwight D. Eisenhower&#34; letterhead is signed &#34;<I>Uncle Ike</I>&#34; &#40;1961&#41;. The content is mostly family related: an invitation to meet for the first time in Palm Springs, thanking Lowell for a genealogical chart that explains their relationshp, etc. with some political references: the Chicago Convention, regret that &#34;<I>on such trips the politicians take over</I>….&#34; and sharing Lowell&#39;s concern &#34;<I>about the debt</I>…[I] <I>have used every conceivable argument to get the public interested in the matter</I>….&#34; <B>Two of Mamie&#39;s Typed Letters Signed</B> to Lowell and Dorothy Eisenhower a<B>re on White House stationery</B> &#40;1953 and 1955&#41;, thanking them for birthday cards and expressing joy at being home at the Gettysburg farm and that their children will be with them for Thanksgiving; a 1967 letter thanks Lowell for a map. Also, printed thanks for birthday wishes on a &#34;The White House&#34; card, and an engraved card with thanks for sympathy after Ike&#39;s death. Overall fine condition.
