Albert Einstein: Signed First Edition of Out of My Later Years. (New York: Philosophical Library, 1950), first edition, later issue dust jacket with a picture of Einstein on the rear panel, 282 pages, dark blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and front board, 8vo (5.5" x 8.25"). Signed "A. Einstein. 51." on the front free endpaper. This is a fascinating collection of Einstein's short essays on topics ranging from science to religion to issues of greater social concern with short pieces like "The Negro Question" and "Why Do They Hate the Jews?". Overall, the book is in very good condition, with minimal wear at the corners and spine. The dust jacket displays mild chipping along the bottom edge, a few very small scattered tears, as well as a 1" tear near the head of the spine. The textblock is tight and clean. Rare is the chance to obtain a signed Einstein book in any condition, and this book is one of the better volumes we've seen.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
