Eickhorn NCO Dress Bayonet Frog And Troddel. the blade is approx. 7 7/8" long, nickel/silver plated, drop forged, steel construction. The blade has the Eickhorn maker's marking, and the chocolate brown leather washer is still intact.The bayonet has a nickel/silver plated alloy, crossguard with one up-swept arm, a flash guard and a stylized eagle head pommel. the hilt fittings all retain about 95% of their original finish. The bayonet has diamond grooved, moldedblack bakelite construction grips which are secured to the hilt by two, small, dome headed alloy rivets. The slotted, stylized eagle head pommel and stud button are all intact and functional, with a piece of red wool felt in thechannel. The bayonet comes complete with its original black painted, sheet metal scabbard that retains about 98% of its original black finish with a few small surface scratches. The inserted throat, throat retaining screw and the frog lugare intact. It is complete with the original, blackened leather construction bayonet frog. The frog is in overall very good condition.
