An Egyptian terracotta figure of Harpokrates riding a swan, Roman Period, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, the youthful god wears a long tunic, diadem, side lock and a solar headdress, his right finger pressed to his lips. He sits upon the back of a goose, which stands upon nan integral base, holding the bird’s neck with his right hand, shield or jar on the ground before. H: 5 in (12.8 cm). A nice example with traces of pigment and light deposits. Custom wood base. Ex Philadelphia private collection.
