<B>Collection of Early Ottoman Egyptian Coinages,</B></I> this fascinating group starts with the thick anonymous copper coinages (manghir) struck circa 1520-1600AD and continues through the reigns of the Ottoman Sultans up through the early Cairo Mint types of Abdul Hamid II (1880.) Some of the silver coins have been used in jewelry but are still very collectible. Grades vary from VG to VF. Early Ottoman copper falus, 7 pieces, all with readable Misr mint name, 1143AH silver Para (6), 1168AH silver Para (1), 1171AH silver Para (6), 1187AH silver Para (10), mixed silver Para from 1171-1223AH (32), copper and silver of 1223AH (8), several scarce, copper and silver issues of 1255AH (18), many scarce silver types, copper and silver types of 1277AH (34 including the 2 1/2, 5 and 10 Piastres silver 1277/4), and 1293AH Piastres (2). A diverse and highly interesting collection put together over many years in Cairo and London.
