Overall the sword measures 37 1/4 inches long, with a 32 1/4 inch curved single fuller blade, showing martial etching on both sides, a vine pattern along the spine, and a niter blue panel on the right with "Torgauer Feld Art. Regt. No74." within. Nickel scabbard, with "A.74.1.48" stamped on the left languet, with a wire wrapped sharkskin grip. The 74 Field Artillery Regiment was a component of the 8th Field Artillery Brigade of the 8th Division of the Prussian/Imperial German IV Army Corps, active from 1818 to it?s disbanding at the end of World War One.

Very fine blade. Some minor spotting and flaking is present on the exterior sword, concentrated on the hilt, with very strong and vivid niter blue and sharply executed etching. The grip is very good, with light wear. The scabbard is good, with flaking and areas of brown patina.
