Renowned American Shakespearean actor (1833–1893) and brother of Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth. Vintage fountain pen signature, “‘Happy New Year’ Edwin Booth,” on an off-white 3.5 x 2.5 card, dated 1889 and affixed to the bottom of an 8.25 x 11 engraved portrait. In fine condition, with some scattered light soiling to card and some light toning, soiling and edge dings to portrait.
