Renowned American Shakespearean actor (1833–1893) and brother of Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth. ALS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.75 x 7.75, Everett House letterhead, March 10, 1878. Neatly penned letter to Mr. White. In part: “Much as I should enjoy Mr. Beecher’s words and your ‘vittles’ I must deny myself the twofold pleasure. I shall not be in Brooklyn…longer than is absolutely necessary for my performance each evening. I have found the accommodations there so meager that my wife prefers to retain the rooms we now occupy.” In fine condition.
