Elegant English sterling silver footed bowl made in Sheffield, England in the Edwardian period. The bowl and base borders are decorated with a shell motif. It is marked on the underside of the bowl with the Lion Passant (the English official mark that authenticates that the item is Sterling silver), a Crown (the city of Sheffield hallmark), the initials JD&S (James Dixon & Sons ) and a "l" inside an octagonal shield which means it was made in 1903. It is numbered 6707 underneath the base. In very good used condition with minor signs of wear as shown.

Measurements: 7.5" diameter by 2.4" tall (19 cm by 6 cm tall) approximately; Weight: 0.58 lbs. or 8.51994 troy oz (265 grams).
