This is a fine pair of European "Fishing Connector" cufflinks, possibly originating from Austria where such connectors were popular. The links actually detach with a spring-loaded mechanism that still functions perfectly to make it easier to put them on your shirt. They are called fishing connectors because of their resemblance to the piece that connects a fishing line to an artificial lure. There was a layer of gold over the silver, but that has rubbed off with use. There is some hallmarking, including a "P", but it is unknown what that means and the rest is worn. Left as is, uncleaned. Background information for these links provided by Derek Anastasia, AOA.
