Eldest son of Queen Victoria (born 1841) who reigned as King of England from 1901 until his death in 1910. ANS signed “ER,” on the front of a black-bordered 7 x 4.5 envelope addressed to him, no date. Short note reads, in part: “An official answer to Duke Ernest Gunther…letter should be drawn up by F. O. for me to sign.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, scattered light soiling, and mounting remnants to reverse.
