Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. Their signatures on a 4.5" x 3.25" card bearing a typed title together with a British 2 1/2d. postage stamp bearing Edward's profile. Edward (1894 - 1972), King of England whose abdication of the throne in order to marry American divorcée Wallis Simpson rocked Great Britain, led to his spending the balance of his life in self-imposed exile (profiting during the war by trading in currencies with the Nazis via his new "post" as Governor of the Bahamas). Light smudging else fine. Offered together with 3.5" x 2.5" black and white candid photo of the couple in the rear of a car. Also together with a circa 1937 pictorial gossip magazine covering their romance and speculating about the couple's nuptials. Together three pieces.
