Typed memorandum, one page, 8 x 11, United States Information Agency letterhead, dated August 30, 1961. In part, “There was nothing wrong with the Freedom Foundation situation that a little communicating wouldn’t fix. Now my assistant has phoned Dr. Wells, and he and I will sit down for a talk here on September 7. A couple of us had tried to reach Dr. Wells by phone last week, but found that he was traveling.” In fine condition, with pencil notation to right edge, and two punch holes to top. Accompanied by a copy of a Murrow television two-page transcript, dated January 4, 1951, as well as other memos concerning Murrow, including a presidential representative to Murrow’s funeral.
