Edward H. Bohlin Texas Star and Indian Head Parade Saddle

Custom made for Wichita Falls oil and gas magnate, Jack Grace, this marvelous and regal parade black saddle features a Texas Star, diamond, and 14K gold Indian Head theme. Fully floral carved by Hollywood’s legendary saddlemaker to the stars in the 1950s, the striking parade saddle is artistically engraved, and mounted with a heavy gauge sterling silvered front with rope edged gullet and horn, balanced by a broad and comfortable silver Cheyenne roll. The saddle is trimmed in diamond and half-diamond conchos leading to stylized silver corner plates and drape, adorned with Bohlin’s trademark 14k gold Indian Heads. Jack chose the oversized, silver capped tapaderos to laud his Texas pride and heritage by mounting a bold, raised, 5-pointed star on a silver plaque smack in the middle of the taadero for all the world to see. The saddle and mountings are all in excellent condition. The tapaderos are 23” long, the seat is 15”.
