Sterling silver and gold 1946 Roy Rogers Championship Rodeo trophy buckle won by Jack Spurling. Marked "Bohlinmade 10K / Sterling". Buckle measures 2 1/4" x 3 1/2", with the original "CHICAGO 1946" tooled leather trophy belt. Engraved on back "JACK SPURLING / BAREBACK - BRONC-RIDING / CHAMPION / CHICAGO, and on the Front surrounding the 10K gold bucking horse, 4 horse heads and rope edge, "Roy Rogers / Worlds Championship Rodeo / 1946". Included is the original Souvenir Program and contestant insert and comes with engraved plaque, original postcard and showcase. A wonderful buckle on its own but also an important piece of rodeo history.
