An early Bohlin style rectangular longhorn buckle with the post 1980's shield-shaped maker marked. Constructed in sterling silver with bold 14K gold Texas longhorn surrounded by 4 raised gold rosettes set with ruby red stones. Scroll initials "JJD" in gold. Deep engraving over the face with silver rope frame. Measures 2 1/4" x 3 1/4". On a high quality Seidel Saddlery/Cody, Wyoming, marked tooled and filigreed leather belt 1 1/2" (W) by 45" (L) measuring 41" to the center hole. Lightly worn, near-mint condition.
