Edward H. Bohlin Bridle, Bit & Martingale. The "Beverly" catalog model silver mounted brown leather bridle with four-leaf clover pattern engraved silver conchos, counter-spaced with triangle sterling mountings and split flat reins with matching conchos. The distinctive silver overlaid high port bit alone is pictured in Bohlin's 1941 catalog as pattern No. 411, priced (75 years ago) at a very expensive $29.50. It is our opinion that the bit was made by Los Angeles based Jose Figueroa for the Bohlin shop. The lot includes a matching martingale. Silver mountings are in fine condition, the leather on the bridle is original showing age cracks and separations.
