Two ALSs, signed “E. Everett” and “Edward Everett,” five total pages, both 7.75 x 9.75. The first, dated November 22, 1833, in part: “I now return you the proof, less carefully corrected by me, than I could wish. There is a blank on the 31st page, which I am unable to fill up. The last printed report of the American Board of Commissioners of foreign missions furnishes the data, by which it might not be filled, but I have it not. Perhaps you would do me the favor to fill it up. Should you not choose to do so, I think President Day would do me that kindness, if you would present my respectful compliments to him, & request him to do so”; and the second, dated July 18, 1838, in part: “I had the satisfaction, a day or two ago, to receive the two volumes of your History of Joseph Brant— Thayendanegea. I feel certainly obliged to you for your kindness in making me this highly valuable present.” In overall fine condition.
