''Opus 8'' autograph music quotation signed by the great Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. Here, Grieg has written two bars and two double bars of music noting in the upper right corner, “Op. 8,” the violin sonata composed by him in Copenhagen in 1865, when he was only 22 years old. Piece measures 3” x 3.5”, affixed to a gilt-edged base and framed to an overall size of 13.25” x 17”. On back of frame is a COA by famed autograph expert Charles Hamilton. Frame is lightly scuffed but music and matting is in apparent fine condition.
