Educational Money Set. This 7" x 3 1/2" ornate box was put out in the late 1870's by the Milton Bradley Company. It contains full-size cardboard replicas of Morgan Silver Dollars, Liberty Seated Quarters and Dimes, Shield Nickels, Two Cent Pieces and Indian Pennies. The purpose of this set was to teach young children how to identify the different denominations, make change, handle money, etc. All of the coins were also ideally suited for inserting into the esophagus. Times have changed. The box has some damage but is mostly solid. The illustration on the top is perfect. We're not sure of the original count, but plenty of coins of each denomination remain. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
