French painter and printmaker (1868–1940) associated with the Les Nabis post-impressionist avant-garde artists. ALS in French, signed “E. Vuillard,” one page, 4.5 x 5.75, postmarked May 15, 1918. Letter to Walter Berry, an American expatriate that befriended many French intellectuals including Marcel Proust. Vuillard writes that he is returning to his atelier on Rue de Calais and arranges for his correspondent to meet him, as he enjoyed their first meeting and remembers him very well. In fine condition.
