American poet, editor, and critic (1833–1908). Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by F. Gutekunst of Philadelphia, signed in the lower border in black ink, “Edmund Clarence Stedman, 1892,” and on the reverse, “Sincerely yours, Edmund Clarence Stedman, October 1893.” In fine condition, with a couple wrinkles and pencil notations to reverse.
