Second wife of President Theodore Roosevelt (1861–1948) and First Lady from 1901 to 1909. ALS, one page, 5.5 x 6.75, personal letterhead, October 18, 1933. Letter to Mrs. Manning. In full: “I am enclosing a card of introduction to Mr. Harrison. He is a delightful person & will try to do what you ask if it is possible. These are hard days, & doubly hard for artists.” Accompanied by the original free-franked mailing envelope. Both are matted and framed together, to an overall size of 11.5 x 18. In fine condition, with a light overall shade of toning.
