Original pencil and watercolor costume sketch of Shirley MacLaine in a dress for “Sweet Charity” on a white 14.25 x 17.5 card. The full length sketch is headed at the top by the famed designer, “Charity #2” and at the bottom “Shirley MacClaine [sic] possible test 2.” Sketch is signed and inscribed in pencil at the lower left corner, “For Mary, Fondest Wishes, Edith Head.” In fine condition, with scattered light creasing, expected light rippling from watercolor, and a small even block of residue near the fingertip of the sketch’s right hand.
