(Paramount, 1954) Sketch of Audrey Hepburn in the title role (for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress), wearing a black dress and coat with white hat. Hepburn is seen in this costume just after her return from France, when "David" (William Holden) first sees her at the train station and offers her a ride home. Accomplished in watercolor and gouache on board. Measures approx. 15 in. x 20 in. Ms. Head won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for her work on this film.
