Edith Boling Wilson Envelope Signed “Edith Bolling Wilson”. 6.5” x 3.75”, postmarked Washington, D. C., June 26, 1952. Edith Bolling Wilson, second wife of President Woodrow Wilson, has signed the envelope vertically at the right edge, with her name typed below. Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919 and Mrs. Wilson quietly assumed many of his day-to-day duties. It was once written that she was “a woman of narrow views and formidable determination.” Comes with a news account of Edith Wilson's death clipped from a newspaper. The envelope is slightly worn but Mrs. Wilson's signature is bold and bright. Fine condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
