Overall near fine condition. <BR><BR>Though known for his adventure and science-fiction novels, Edgar Rice Burroughs also wrote four Westerns, including <I>The War Chief</B></I>. After failing the West Point entrance exam, Burroughs served with the 7th United States Cavalry, and his experiences in the Arizona Territory served him well when writing this Native American saga.
