“1. I am not a scientist-astronaut, but a pilot astronaut.
2. My participation would have to be approved by NASA.
3. My current crew assignment on Apollo XIV would make my availability limited during the next few months (although certainly not impossible).
“The above items probably sound like a discouragement, but are not intended as such. On the contrary, I believe in doing everything possible to show the American people that they are making a worthwhile investment in the space program.” In fine condition, with a couple light creases to top left corner.
