Flight-flown printed fabric Spanish flag, 5.75 x 4, carried aboard the Apollo 14 mission, and orbited the moon aboard the Command Module Kitty Hawk, signed in black ink, “Flown to the Moon aboard Kittyhawk, Apollo 14, Edgar Mitchell.” Note that the current flag of Spain does not feature the eagle and shield; this flown flag is of the design used during the period 1945-1977. In fine condition. Flag originally comes from Mitchell’s personal collection. Flight-flown foreign flags are less common than United States flags.
