Exceptional vintage matte-finish 6.25 x 8.5 portrait of Rickenbacker in uniform by N. Lazarnick, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “With every best wish to Ellmore C. Patterson Jr., Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker, 1927.” Mounted to a scrapbook page to an overall size of 9 x 11. In fine condition, with silvering to dark areas of the image. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA. Patterson was a noted Collier’s sportswriter, and owned the Mercedes car that won the 1915 Indianapolis 500.
