Ed Wood Bride of the Atom Movie Script. Was Ed
<B>Ed Wood "Bride of the Atom" Movie Script.</B></I> Was Ed Wood really the worst director who ever lived? His films were campy, clumsy, and incredibly inept, but their enthusiasm and good humor often overcome incoherent scripts and wooden performances, and quite frankly, bad movies can be just as entertaining as good ones. This lot features an original copy of Wood's screenplay for his fifth feature film, "Bride of the Atom" (released as "Bride of the Monster" in 1955). The plot -- what there was of it -- involved a journalist who uncovers a mad scientist's scheme to create an army of supermen using atomic energy. Wackiness ensues. This is an early draft of the script, featuring the original ending (involving a nuclear explosion) that producer Donald E. McCoy forced Wood to change. The screenplay is co-credited to Alex Gordon, who gave Wood the idea for the story but never actually contributed to the script. A great item for any Wood fan.
