Three items: a TLS by Douglas Aircraft designer Ed Heinemann, one page, July 20, 1986, in part: "I'm sorry I've been so late in sending this print to you…As you may know, I have developed and produced over twenty airplanes and cannot possibly keep pictures of all of them in stock. This A-4 Skyhawk was the last airplane that I produced for Douglas Company"; and two identical gold 10.5 x 8 gold foil prints of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk entitled 'Spotting on the Waist Cat,' both signed in the lower border in blue felt tip by Ed Heinemann and in pencil by concept artist R. G. Smith. In overall fine condition, with minor dings to edges of the prints.

Heinemann (1908–1991) was Douglas Aircraft's chief engineer from 1936 through 1960, designing such planes as the A-20 Havoc, A-26 Invader, A-1 Skyraider, A-4 Skyhawk, and F4D Skyray. He later joined General Dynamics, where he oversaw the development of the F-16.

Smith was a famed aviation artist (1914–2001) known especially for his work at McDonnell Douglas and for his naval aviation paintings; the 'R.G. Smith Award,' named for him, is awarded annually for excellence in naval aviation art.
