He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Sweet Bird of Youth (1962). His other notable films include 12 Angry Men (1957) and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964). He also worked extensively in television. Glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Arthur, All the best, Sincerely, Ed Begley,” and dated 1965 in the lower border in another hand. Some scattered light surface marks and creases, one to facial area, otherwise fine condition.
