Eberhard Dietzsch, Abstract Composition, Germany, 1990s
This abstract composition by Eastern German painter Eberhard Dietzsch is one of the characteristic cityscapes the artist created throughout his life. It was executed in the 1990s. There are a lot of influences such as the Cubists, the Fauve and the Expressionists which had a great impact on Dietzsch’s oeuvre. The skyline is composed of geometrical fields with expressive colours which are distinctively deformed. The composition is painted on hardboard with acrylic colours and carbon pencil with a piece of corrugated paper.

Eberhard Dietzsch’s abstract composition comes most likely in the original frame and measures in total 88 x 64 cm (82 x 60 cm hardboard only). It is in good condition. The piece of corrugated paper is slightly damaged. The frame shows some traces of age.
