Commissioned works from this witness to decades of New York baseball history reside in the personal collections of such notable figures as James Cagney, Darryl Strawberry and Lou Piniella. A line-up of white uniformed Dodgers join Abbott and Costello and the Brooklyn Bum in the foreground, with a packed grandstand and charming early advertising signs dominating the rear. Constructed from die-cut wood and painstakingly applied paint, this large and impressive three-dimensional work measures 25x48x5".
