Eat Cane, Syrup and Molasses (Lot of 3) 28 x21 Eat Cane, Syrup and Molasses
Eat Cane, Syrup and Molasses (Lot of 3) 28" x 21" Artist: Luria-Fowler. Soon after the outbreak of WWI sugar consumption per household fell from 1.49 lbs per week to .93 lbs. Sugar was the first thing to be rationed followed soon after by butcher's meat. The idea of rationing was not to reduce consumption but to ensure that there would be extra supplies if needed. This poster was just one of many which instructed Americans on alternatives to rationed commodities. A nice addition to any collection!

Condition:
Poster 1-Superior; small amount of dirt residue on bottom edge.
Poster 2-Fine; cockling due to severe fold memory, dirt stains on white edges.
Poster 3-Fine; paper slightly yellowed and beginning to become brittle, some dirt staining on edges.
