Original award trophy presented to band member Fred White upon Earth, Wind & Fire’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 6, 2000. Award measures 15.25? tall and consists of a hand-cast figure with a black nickel finish holding a disc plated in 24-karat gold, presented upon a marble base. Front of the base bears a plaque engraved with the musician’s name, band, and year. Gold disc is detached from figure’s hands but rests snugly within them and would be easily repairable, otherwise fine condition. Manufactured by R.S. Owens & Company, the brand who also makes the Oscars. The younger brother of Earth, Wind & Fire’s founder Maurice White, Fred was a drummer who was in the group from 1975 to 1983. It was during this period that Earth, Wind & Fire recorded all of their classic songs—all of their top ten hits and albums came between 1975 and 1981. The nine core members from this period reunited at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, performing ‘Shining Star’ and ‘That's The Way of the World.’ A truly one-of-a-kind piece from one of the most versatile and influential bands of the 1970s.
