Early antique Winchester Model 1894 lever action takedown rifle, 25-35 cal., 26” round barrel, blue finish, wood stocks, #70871. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing approx. 85% original blue on metal surfaces with strong traces of case color on the hammer and lever and with the steel butt plate gone to a silvery finish. The bore is excellent, the action crisp, the takedown mechanism tight and the markings are sharp. The wood is overall excellent with just a couple scattered mars from storage and a horizontal discoloration on the left side of the butt stock; the stocks may also have been touched up with some linseed oil. A really nice early ’94. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
