This is a very early collection of original photographs taken in Yellowstone National Park. The set is believed to be from the first years in the park circa 1870-1890's. Each photograph has been affixed to Kodak Art Deco/Art Nouveau cabinet card stock. The collection includes 11 cabinet card like hard stock pieces with a total of 13 original photographs. The photographs include: Old Faithful Erupting in Yellowstone, a geyser in Yellowstone, a man fishing in Yellowstone, a Rocky Mountain Elk presumably in Yellowstone, two different images of the same cabin on the water presumably in Yellowstone, the traveling party in Yellowstone having the wall tent set up and sitting in chairs preparing for dinner, two of the same images of an Elks 7 Masons -4 meeting, a brick building, a bridge over a river, a Western town in the Mountains, and a mountain Western shop of sorts. The cards are approx. 6.5"x5.5".
