Very Early Winchester Model 1912 Trap-marked Slide-Action Shotgun, #76601. 12 ga. 30'' solid rib ''Nickel Steel'' barrel has a 2-1/2'' chamber and is choked Full. Receiver has roll engraving on its top that matches the solid rib, but is otherwise standard; ''-Trap-'' marking below serial number. Forend is slender round configuration with hand checkering. Buttstock is uncheckered walnut, with no grip cap, but does have a Morgan adjustable trap pad installed, and may be an early replacement. Mfg'd in 1914, first year of 12 gauge Model 1912s. Condition is very good for its age, with some frosting and bluing wear to receiver, and numerous handling marks to buttstock. Action still locks tight and functions correctly; bore is bright.
