Early Winchester Factory two-sided Advertising metal sign and bracket mount, approx. 43” overall in length in design of lever action rifle with stamped lettering “FOUNDE 1866” in forend area and “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS Co. NEW HAVEN CONN.”in butt stock area (on both sides); with three linked ovals stamped on the left side only of the lever area; bracket mount and rifle sign both show the majority of old reddish brown paint with old white lettering on both sides of rifle “WINCHESTER ARMS AND AMMUNITION SINCE 1866” with years of patina. This is one of the finest old Winchester advertisers this cataloger has seen in years; the kind one sees in old Western photos outside gun stores along classic main streets of cattle towns, etc. From an old collector who knows his stuff!
