Fixed sights, with the standard Walther Nazi commercial "eagle/N" proofs on the chamber, side of the slide and barrel, Nazi military "eagle/ WaA359" proofs on the left side of the slide and on the frame below the magazine release. Standard Walther legend on the left side of the slide. Fitted with checkered Walther banner grips. Magazine with PP markings and finger extension. On page 40 of "AXIS PISTOLS, Volume II" by Jan Still, he lists this as a variation I Early (PP) with E/359 military acceptance. Serial range 165126-168190P. Estimated procurement: 1000. This pistol falls within the aforementioned serial range (166997P).

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original blue finish with numerous light scratches on the grip straps and some minor edge wear (heavier near the muzzle). There is some very scattered minor pitting. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling marks and a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
