Early Victorian Optical Toy, 'Magic Disk', turned wooden hand held disc holder with pierced viewing disc, 9" and eight double sided hand coloured discs, 7" including Hobby Horse and Rider, Rowing Boat, Bear Tamer, Acrobat, Lady at Well, Dancing Couple, Knife Grinder etc, (orig worn box), the base with part of slot to receive disc holder, wooden strut to support box lid this with mirror panel (cracked) to reflect 'magic effect', the lid now detached from base was originally secured with a leather strip this present but v worn, the top with original pictorial label (browned) with instructions (legible) in England and French which do not make reference to using the slot and interior mirror, '... place yourself before a looking glass or mirror...', box size 10" x 9 «" œ 150-200
