Early U.S. contract flintlock musket converted to percussion and reduced to half stock with swivels removed and brass thimbles added to barrel. Rear portion of the lock marked “Exeter” with traces of Eagle at the center portion of the lock. Themetal surfaces show a dark brown patina and light to moderate pitting and erosion. The stock is fair to good. The action is working. Just the type of musket that could’ve went West with pioneers and a good wall hanger. Est.: $250-$500
