Early U.S. Springfield M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle with Sling
Made in February 1940. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with a "DRC" marked adjustment wheel. Springfield barrel, date 3-49, fitted with a gas port assembly. Bolt is marked "D28287/ -1", with Springfield trigger guard, hammer, safety, trigger group housing and operating rod. Smooth stock, with Ordnance markings, "SA/ NFD" cartouche on the left side, a small brass nail driven into the underside of the pistol grip, tan canvas "MRT/ JAN 1951" sling, and checkered buttplate.

Very good, with 95% of the original matte gray finish, showing some light handling marks overall, pitting and a gray patina on the gas tube. Stock is good, with some chipping and dents. Mechanically excellent.
