Early Three Digit Serial Numbered Winchester Model 21 Field Grade Double Barrel Shotgun
Introduced by Winchester in 1931, this particular shotgun was manufactured between 1936 and 1959. With serial number 182, this shotgun was undoubtedly made within the first month of production. Features a single brass bead sight on a concave matte rib barrel with 2-3/4 inch chambers, chokes marked full/ modified with an extractor. The top breech end of the right barrel is marked "MODEL 21 - WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK- 12 GAUGE" and the left has the two line address/patent pending marking. The barrel flat is marked with the matching serial number and two Winchester oval proofs. The water table is marked with a single oval proof. Double triggers, tang mounted automatic safety, and mounted with semi fancy grain checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Condition: Very fine as partially refinished. The shotgun retains 95% original blue finish, thinning on the barrels and underside of the receiver, and high edge wear on the frame. The wood has been refinished and remains very fine with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
